The Last class

Today, I finally had presentation. Since I entered classroom little bit late, the people whom I introduced my presentation were different from the last time; and it was interesting that I got opportunity to see a lot of topics of presentation. Presentations which my group members have done were interesting to me; I could get to know many things which I didn’t know. Moreover, I think I could speak better than the last class; my speech was organized comparing to the last time’s my presentation. However, looking to other classmate’s slides, I thought that I could improve my slides more; my slides were too simple and do not have a lot of information. With this reflection, I will create better presentation next time.

The 6th class

I was little bit anxious when this class started. Today, I thought that I have to do presentation in front of my classmates—actually, I did; but it was merely a practice. Our true presentation is going to be in the next class. By presenting my slides to my classmates, what I have learned so far is that I need to organize what I am going to talk before I start speaking. Actually, I could speak smoothly without paper but the structure of my speaking was not that good. For the coming presentation in the next class, I need to improve this point.

The 5th class

In this class, we learned how we can create the effective presentation slides; colors, fonts, back grounds, contrasts and structures. I have not really created presentation slides before, and the examples and techniques introduced in the class are interesting. Actually, the slides introduced as good examples are easy to see and understand. We learned that we should not put a lot of linguistic information on the slide; using other word, slides for presentation should be simplified by subtitle and picture. With what I have learned in this class, I want to create a good presentation slides.

The 3rd week

In this class, we learned about Zotero which is a useful strategy for academic writing. When we write academic paper, we always need to consider about “work cited” avoiding plagiarism.  With Zotero, the process of writing work sited list is shortened; it automatically helps us to create work cited list. Now, we are working on our ARW research writing paper which of cause needs to create the work cited list; and I am sure that I am going to use this useful strategy for my paper which I am going to work on.

Library lecture

We didn’t have R&P class this time, but we had library orientation instead. In the library orientation, we learned searching strategies which are useful for working on our academic paper. We already have had this kind of lecture on the spring term, but this lecture gave me further opportunity to do academic writing conveniently.

The 2nd week

This week, we learned about screenshot which was a very awesome tool. When we work on our paper, we often need to collect and keep the information which is necessary for the paper. In such occasion, screenshot can be really a help. With screenshot, this awesome tool, we can take screen shot and save what we have seen on the internet. What is more, we also learned about how to create graph by using Google strategy and it was amazing to me; actually, I have never created graphs using computer. Now I can use these tools when I work on my paper.

The 1st week

In the first class, we are taught how corrupted windows are comparing to apples. Since computers which I have used are all windows, I have never used safari until the class this time. Moreover, the search strategy which I have usually used is yahoo; so I hardly knew about Google services.

However, as I started learning how to use computer strategies in the class, I soon recognized how useful those Google docs, searches are. And actually those are helpful for me.
